The old maxim says, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The Ocean’s series wasn’t broke, and so everyone just kept their hands off. Wisely, no one tinkered with the formula. It’s an example of the rare sequel that’s every bit as good as the original. Now we’ve got another Part Three: Ocean’s Thirteen. Like ‘em, love ‘em, or hate ‘em, most people agree that none of them are the best entries in the series. It’s been a summer of threes: Spider-Man 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Shrek 3.
